Can the gun be locked up so tight by a double-feed that the magazine won’t come out on its own? Some instructors say to lock the slide to the rear since there is a round halfway out of the magazine that may prevent the magazine from dropping out by gravity alone. I know Magpul, I realize some people are not fans, teaches this with handguns and ARs.

why not wear gloves? Flight gloves work for me. They come in various colours and last for ages.

I think he pushes mag release button when he shoots. only true accident was very first sig, that were actual accidental stove pipe jam, AND smith’s intentional unloaded jam by he pushed mag release, at the same time.thats why he saying two malfunction. (IMO stove pipe could be happened from his mag release pushing.)
sry for my terrible eng but maybe you can see how he does.

@EpioneEQ
They also say center of mass because its the largest target on the body. Trying to shoot someone in the leg/arm/head/foot/etc is a challenge when in the heat of a fight.

Clint Smith, the man knows so much and everything is simple and straight to the point. Guns are simple machines, they are not like a grandfather clock. Just keep it simple and get back in the fight. Good advice and good methods.

Ya someone who knows a little about WHY they say aim Centre Mass, cause the spine is there and a lump of vital organs which hold lots of nerves and blood to cause a drop in bloodpressure, , But then again i know of a one shot stopper ! An M203 or say any RPG
….Bad thing is you’ll stop everyone in the room including yourself

Clint Smith is very pragmatic when teaching firearm defense.
“Tap…rack…happy place!!!”

@SakkaraCresties ok, I repect your preference, but when, not if, but when, a revolver jams, , , there just aint no easy clearing it.
March 9th, 2010 on 9:38 am
1 shot stoppers are highly unlikely unless you hit the brain box or CNS. Might want to rethink your mindset
March 9th, 2010 on 10:06 am
revolvers dont stovepipe…thats why i carry a .38spcl w/+P SJHP …1 shot and threat is gone … drugged up or whatever….he’s down
March 9th, 2010 on 10:56 am
the best!
March 9th, 2010 on 11:26 am
Well, why bother? The advantage of the technique Clint is pushing, is that it can be applied to any gun, be it double action, single action, striker fired, etc. That’s the whole reason he brought out three differing pistols.
