When learning how to write a western novel, you should start off by creating strong and solid characters that the audience can identify with. Out of all your characters, have a central character that is steadfast and gets transformed to the liking of the audience. You should be able to bring your characters to life and make them believable. Remember not to leave out your main character for too long in the story since readers would like to keep track of the character. Don’t go more than two chapters without mentioning the main character. The second consideration in how to write a western novel is to have a good plot and storyline. Your plot should be full of twists and turns that cause excitement to the reader and makes the novel interesting to read. You should include the details of the goings-on of that time. For instance, if you are talking about one of the characters loading a gun, you will need to describe how the gun gets loaded, the smell of the gun and how it feels like when the bullet leaves the gun and lands on its target. Another important thing when learning how to write a western novel is that one or two point of views is used in telling the story.
