Product DescriptionOn an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener’s hand is severed as “the dome” comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and . . . More >>

I never understood why people like Dean Koontz. He’s the worst author of all time. Now he’s stealing book ideas from a cartoon.

I purchased a pre-order copy of Under the Dome. The review is not about the book, but about ordering it from amazon. com. I figured pre-ordering a book would mean I would get it about the same day it came out. I’m not sure if it is standard for a book you pre-order to come 3 days after the day it was released. I didn’t realize I would get it 3 days later. I did save money, but at the same time. . . The copy I received was brand new. . . Aside from being damaged I am guessing during shipping. So it seems I paid a cheaper price for an used copy at this point. As far as the book goes, it’s Stephen King, so it’s gonna be good.

Bart and Homer went through the exact same scenerio when Springfield got put under a giant invisible dome! Everybody in the town went crazy and started fighting amongst themselves! Does Stephen King have an original idea in his brain? It’s too bad King didn’t leave a disclaimer at the end of this book like he did at the end of The Dark Tower asking angry readers not to come to his house. What an absolute hack.

I haven’t read this yet but it seems be very similar to an old Twilight Zone where aliens cover a community with a dome then watch the residents self destruct. Anyone else remember this from the old black and white days? I will still read it when it is available for my kindle as I have enjoyed 75% of King’s books

Boy would I like to review this book. I have been a Stephen King fan for many years. Since the book was released, I was eager to get it on my kindle and dig in. Sorry, you can’t get a copy of this release for your expensive reader until two months after it’s release date – but gee – then you can download it in about a minute.
This action coming on top of the policy that Amazon has of allowing sales to stolen kindle readers, as well as removing books that were purchased through your kindle store has really damaged your credibility. I had been a strong advocate for your reader with friends and other readers in conversations with them – no more. If you want people to take the risk of purchasing an expensive (soon to be obsolete) electronic reader from your company, you probably shouldn’t treat them in this shoddy manner.
